- I was burning, scorching in a rage so fierce it could bring cities to ashes. Watching her with another man was like swallowing fire, each second searing through my patience. And she knew. She damn well knew I couldn’t stand the sight of her entertaining another man, yet she never listened. She toyed with my limits like a child playing with a matchstick near gasoline, ignorant or maybe just reckless enough to test the explosion.
- If not for the spy camera necklace I so generously draped around her neck, pretending to her like it was a thoughtful gift, she might have ended up in bed with that grinning bastard. I didn’t need to hear their conversation, but his expression said it all. The way his eyes flickered with satisfaction, the casual lean of his body, and the smug tilt of his lips were enough to make my blood roar.
