- A tired yawn escaped my lips, stretching the edges of my mouth until my jaw cracked softly. My whole body ached, from the balls of my feet to the back of my neck. I was drained both mentally, emotionally, and physically.
- If stress had a smell, I probably reeked of it by now. My fingers were stained faintly with pen ink, and the pages of the inventory clipboard were creased from how tightly I’d been gripping them all day.
