- It had been way too long since I held Evie. Too long since her presence filled every crack in my chest, every space that felt hollow without her. I leaned against the edge of my bed, running a hand through my hair and shaking off the tension that always built up when she wasn’t around.
- The second I saw her today, I knew I couldn’t let her go. Her presence was like sunlight pouring into a dark room, and I didn’t realize how much I’d missed her until she was right there in front of me, all soft smiles and guarded eyes.
