• I didn't want to discuss anything with Professor Hart, either the pregnancy or what happened between us, nothing.
• The truth was too complicated. How could I explain to him that the baby wasn't Raymond's? That it was his baby? Professors and students weren't supposed to have that kind of intimate relationship and I was sure he would ask me to abort it anyway. I might as well just abort it myself and he would never know.
