- "Miss Selene, please excuse me for a moment," the doctor said, standing up. "I need to see someone in my office."
- I nodded numbly, barely processing her words. The examination room was connected to her office through a door, and I watched as she moved toward it. My heart was still racing from seeing Professor Hart walk in. What was he doing here?
