- I stood at the balcony, the weight of the cool morning breeze brushing against my skin. The sun had just started to rise over the horizon, yet I couldn't bring myself to relax. My mind was elsewhere, entangled in everything that had been happening back home. The phone pressed against my ear, my eyes fixed on the distant view of the beach, where the sound of children laughing and playing drifted up to me from below.
