His wolf, the beast lurking beneath his human exterior, growled in protest, its dominance threatening to consume him. I hated that Lucas was fighting his beast. I wanted him to serve him. I wanted to have a talk with him. His Lycan form was much more impatient. I could easily cause him to reject me before Lucas even knows what's happening.
