Chapter 109
- Hazel blinked awake in the morning, her lashes fluttering. She seemed drained, like something had been pulled out of her, leaving her feeling empty. She couldn't quite put her finger on it. Her mind was clear, though, devoid of anger or frustration towards Wyatt. Groaning, she reached for her head, feeling a dull ache. Wyatt sat nearby, concerned, his eyes dancing on her face. "Are you okay?"
- Hazel winced, resting her head against the headboard. "No, just not feeling..." She trailed off, unable to find the right words to describe how she felt. He approached, offering her a glass of water. Her eyes lingered on him, drawn to his rugged charm. Beads of sweat adorned his bare chest, hinting at a recent workout. She bit her lip, her body responding to his presence almost instinctively.
- "Hazel," he said, raising an eyebrow. She quickly looked away, directing her attention to the window. She scolded herself internally for being so obvious in her attraction.
