Chapter 25 Aria
- At the end of the party, as the music fades to a distant echo and the hall slowly empties, I dedicate myself to guiding the last guests, the most intoxicated ones, to the exit. Each of my movements feels almost ritualistic, something I missed while being cooped up indoors without work. I sense that under the dim light that creates this intimate atmosphere, someone is watching me. I look around, searching for the gaze that fixes on me; however, I find nothing but animated guests who still insist on staying on the dance floor, even though the music has long since stopped.
- But there was something more, something I could not identify. Beneath that delicate twilight, the feeling of being watched lingered, persistent like a shadow clinging to my heels.
- The hall continues to empty, but the sensation of being observed does not fade. I even question whether King Caelum is among the masked staff, but I dismiss that thought. Why would he need a mask to do this? He is now the owner of the company and can watch me through the security cameras.
