Chapter 24 Seraphina

  • The woman’s compulsive crying echoes through the room, each sob reaching my ears in a way that gradually wears down my patience. Irritation bubbles within me, mixed with a profound disdain for this pathetic creature. How is it possible for someone to be so weak, so miserable? I wonder if babies, when they cry, will be as unbearable as the lament of this foolish human.
  • The living room of the woman's house is a depressing sight. The walls are covered in faded, old wallpaper, with stains revealing years of neglect. The acrid smell of cigarettes permeates everything, from the closed curtains to the tattered fabric of the sofa where she sits, crying uncontrollably. The cheap, poorly maintained furniture gives an air of mediocrity to the space, a perfect reflection of the insignificant life this woman leads. As far as I am concerned, I would incinerate everything here, including this poor wretch who cannot stop crying.
  • “You fool, are you incapable of doing anything RIGHT?” My voice reverberates with contained fury. The impact of my voice makes the woman tremble even more, her crying intensifying into an irritating cacophony. “STOP CRYING!” The command escapes me, laden with power, a paralyzing spell accompanying my words.
