Chapter 17

• Elijah stared down at the actress sitting down in front of him with her leg crossed. She hadn't changed one bit. Her husband had left her and taken her child away because he thought she was an irresponsible mother who have affairs with every man she interacted with but what she and Elijah had wasn't that serious so he won't blame himself for what happened to her.
• "Thank you for coming, Susan." Elijah handed her a book.
• "Always ready to help a friend and I couldn't go back on my words." She flipped it open and nodded her head and in that instance, Elijah knew she liked what she saw. "Wow, you did a good job here."
