Chapter 16

• Linda stared at Claire as she walked out of Elijah's office. Her lipstick was smirked a bit. She narrowed her eyes and frowned because she couldn't hear anything coming out of that room earlier. She wondered what could have happened between them because Claire had used more than an hour in Elijah's office.
• Claire noticed Linda's eyes on her but went to sit down immediately. Elijah had made her into a monster who craved lovemaking and she wouldn't get tired if they do it over and over again.
• What was she becoming? She had just one mission and that was to earn money to protect and bring back her father's company but she was already in love with her boss? Who does that? She heaved a sigh. She felt guilty for the things she did. She felt like a sinner but stopped the tears from coming out of her eyes. Linda would question her if she sees any tears.
