• The meal finally ended with coffee and brandy. Elijah had switched to scotch, even though it was only twelve-thirty. "I have to go to the ladies' room," Anne said and Elijah watched her leave.
• His father had invited her over for dinner and he doesn't like the idea. Britney decided to stay over at school. Elijah's grandparents were also present but his mother had work to do. Go out with friends as usual.
• "She is a beautiful one, David. She is the perfect fit." His grandmother said to Mr. Cohen but Elijah didn't even want to make eye contact with her. In his family, they've always been making decisions for their children without the children's consent so he was used to it but he won't accept this. Marrying a girl he doesn't love.
