Chapter 13 You Asked For It
- Li Xuanxiao was taken aback by the sudden peck on the cheek. He scowled, suddenly realizing he was at a loss for words! Tang Muyue, on the other hand, acted as if nothing happened and resumed studying.
- He stared at her. It was as if her life depended upon the accomplishment of her exams, and each of these notes was her steppingstone toward a glorious path.
- Li Xuanxiao had never seen her so hard at work.
- Tang Muyue was a spoiled brat in the past. She was clumsy and wilful; trouble seemed to follow her everywhere she went. She changed so drastically overnight. Who knows how long she can keep up with it? Perhaps this is just another one of her tricks?
- Li Xuanxiao couldn't figure out her thoughts, but he was determined to keep her close by his side no matter what.
- He said nothing and resumed his work.
- The room fell into a silence, each focused at their own tasks, maintaining a peace order exclusive to them both.

- Li Xuanxiao didn’t reject her request as he took the book and explained it to her.
- Even though Tang Muyue was clumsy in her behaviour, she was exceptionally smart. She could understand his explanation almost immediately and would jot down whatever he was saying in her notebook. Her handwriting was neat and refined, as was her physical appearance.
- Li Xuanxiao put his tasks aside and observed her as he realized Tang Muyue was smarter than he thought.
- She can grasp the concepts quickly. It’s such a waste she hasn’t been using her brilliant mind in the past few years...
- They both returned to silence once again. However, this was only the calm before the storm.
- As time went by, Tang Muyue’s questions hit like a rail gun. She would annoy Li Xuanxiao once every few minutes with many questions.
- “Xuanxiao, why is this financial ratio so complicated? I don’t understand...”
- “Xuanxiao, how do I read the trend lines on a stock chart?”
- “Xuanxiao, all these options seem correct. Can I pick multiple answers for this question?”

- Completely disrupted, he couldn’t focus on his work.
- He could still handle it initially, but eventually he was bombarded with questions.
- As Li Xuanxiao answered her queries, he realized there were a lot of issues with her. She was asking all the entry level financial questions that could be easily answered by any financial student. However, Tang Muyue couldn't figure it out at all.
- Finally, Li Xuanxiao couldn't take it anymore. He took a deep breath and asked her, “Tang Muyue, what have you been doing during your lectures?
- Even a fool could tell that he was annoyed.
- Tang Muyue, too, knew she had asked too many questions. She lowered her head, bit her lips in guilt as she answered, “Usually, I will take a nap, take a selfie, watch some videos, check the social media, and… well… That’s all.”
- She felt so embarrassed that she lowered her head further until her chin was almost touching his table. Then she stole a peek at Li Xuanxiao.
- His expression was dark as the starless night sky. Tang Muyue immediately raised her head and put on a pitiful face as she begged for mercy.
- “Please don’t be mad, Xuanxiao. I won’t do it anymore! I promise. From now on, I will reflect on my actions and focus on my studies.”
- Her words seemed genuine. Li Xuanxiao stared at her for a while before he let out a sigh. It’s not like I have any other options, anyway!
- He took a break from his work and shifted his chair to sit beside her.
- Although they were near each other, Li Xuanxiao had nothing else on his mind. He took her textbook and started teaching her patiently.
- His usually deep and manly voice sounded so alluring in the quiet office that she felt herself thinking about other things as he spoke.
- Initially, Tang Muyue was paying attention to his lessons, but after a while, she was so captivated by his voice. She couldn’t help but stare at him.
- He’s so handsome, Tang Muyue thought to herself. Even the hottest male idol wouldn’t be as dashing as him.

- Li Xuanxiao had been explaining patiently to her. As he turned around, he realized Tang Muyue was fangirling over him.
- His thick eyebrows frowned as he told her coldly, “You were just bluffing. You’re not serious about your studies at all!”
- He was just about to stand up and leave.
- Tang Muyue panicked. She wrapped her arms around his neck and turned him around, “I wanted to. I really do. It’s just that, before we do that…”
- Suddenly, she smiled and leaned forward to kiss him on the lips.
- Li Xuanxiao was stunned. As if lightning had struck him, his body became so stiff he couldn’t move.
- Tang Muyue was blushing, too. She was shy. After all, it was not easy for a girl to make the first move.

- In the end, Li Xuanxiao managed to push her away by force. He asked sternly, “Tang Muyue, do you have any idea what you’re doing?”
- She looked at him as if nothing happened. “Of course, I do.”
- He could no longer hold back his lust when he saw how casually she was behaving. “You asked for it!”
- His desire took over as he pressed his lips on her. His kiss was rough and demanding, unlike her girly and inexperienced one.
- Tang Muyue was slow to respond. Before she knew it, he had pinned her down onto the table, immobilizing her.
