Chapter 6 DNA Test Report

  • Huo Jingran reached out and took the photo from Ding Ningqiu's hand, his cold eyes fixed on the face of the woman in the picture.
  • Ding Ningqiu carefully observed Huo Jingran's expression, worried that he would recognize the woman in the photo as Lengyue and remember their passionate night six years ago, instead of her.
  • The aphrodisiac was very potent. If Huo Jingran hadn't woken up and found bloodstains on the sheets, he wouldn't have remembered that he had forced himself on a woman.
  • "Do you know her?" Huo Jingran raised his eyes and looked at Ding Ningqiu, asking abruptly.
  • Seeing that Huo Jingran didn't recognize Lengyue, Ding Ningqiu's suspended heart finally relaxed. "I don't know her. But both she and I used to work as waitresses at the Jiangling Hotel. That night, I happened to see her acting suspiciously outside room 8888. It was very abnormal. I think she must have drugged you!"
  • "Do you know where she is?" Huo Jingran's tone became even colder.
  • "It seems like she lives in an old house on Huayuan Road in the old city area, with two children, a boy and a girl," Ding Ningqiu said.
  • Huo Jingran glanced at the photo in his hand again and called the butler, handing him the photo. "Old house on Huayuan Road. Bring that woman and the two brats back to me!"
  • Ding Ningqiu quickly stopped the butler and looked at Huo Jingran. "Husband, why bring her back? She drugged you before, she must have wanted to climb up the social ladder. That's why she infiltrated the hotel as a waitress. A woman like her should be killed directly. Do we really need to bring her here for tea?"
  • Huo Jingran smiled faintly, reaching out to hold Ding Ningqiu's chin, his gaze lingering on her face. "You're right. Uncle Li, have her killed!"
  • After the butler left to carry out the order, Ding Ningqiu stretched out her beautiful leg and rubbed against Huo Jingran's leg, her tongue licking her lips in a seductive and charming manner. "Husband, don't think about those troublesome things anymore. Fate brought us back together after six years. Shouldn't we do something about it?"
  • Huo Jingran lifted Ding Ningqiu's chin, his gaze burning. "You're right."
  • He threw Ding Ningqiu onto the bed in the bedroom, and Huo Jingran leaned over.
  • Ding Ningqiu closed her eyes, ready to enjoy the wonderful moment, but she didn't feel any movement from Huo Jingran.
  • She suddenly opened her eyes and saw Huo Jingran getting up, his eyes full of surprise. "Husband, what's wrong?"
  • For some reason, when he was about to kiss Ding Ningqiu, a smell that made him nauseous rushed into his nostrils, instantly killing his mood.
  • "I'm going to take a shower," Huo Jingran said.
  • Ding Ningqiu sat up, her wavy hair in disarray. "I'll accompany you."
  • "No need," Huo Jingran replied coldly, stepping into the bathroom.
  • Seeing Huo Jingran's sudden change in attitude, Ding Ningqiu felt angry. She raised her hand and angrily pounded on the soft bed, her eyes filled with resentment.
  • Just as she was getting angry, she suddenly heard a ringing sound in her ears.
  • She looked down and saw a mobile phone, presumably Huo Jingran's.
  • Ding Ningqiu answered the call.
  • A woman's excited voice came through. "Mr. Huo, the DNA test report is out. The little boy who claims to be a genius is indeed your biological son!"
  • Ding Ningqiu was stunned.
  • The only little boy who often boasted about being a genius besides Xiaoting was who?
  • Ding Ningqiu was very surprised. How did Huo Jingran have contact with Xiaoting? And why did he do a DNA test with Xiaoting? Could it be that Huo Jingran already knew the truth?
  • A series of questions flashed through Ding Ningqiu's mind, making her both frightened and nervous.
  • "Mr. Huo? Can you hear me?" the secretary's voice came through the phone again.
  • Ding Ningqiu glanced at the bathroom door and hung up the phone, sending a text message to the secretary before deleting it.
  • Dark clouds covered the remaining moon in the sky. Ding Ningqiu drove away from the villa.
  • At the agreed location, Ding Ningqiu saw a tall and graceful figure walking back and forth in a small pavilion through the car window.
  • Ding Ningqiu got out of the car and walked towards the pavilion.
  • "Are you my husband's secretary?" Ding Ningqiu asked.
  • The secretary glanced at Ding Ningqiu and exclaimed in surprise, "Are you the young madam?"
  • As the secretary, she knew about Huo Jingran bringing a woman home from the art exhibition, but she had never seen a photo of Ding Ningqiu.
  • Ding Ningqiu nodded and reached out her hand. "Give it to me."
  • The secretary nodded and handed the DNA test report to Ding Ningqiu. "Madam, this child is yours and Mr. Huo's..."
  • Before she could finish her sentence, a flash of cold light appeared, and the secretary fell into a pool of blood.
  • In the countdown to the secretary's life, all she saw was a pair of high-heeled shoes walking away indifferently.
  • The next day, when Huo Jingran was about to go to the company, Ding Ningqiu handed him a brand new DNA test report. "Husband, this morning while I was exercising outside, I met a young girl who said she wanted to see you. She asked me to give this to you, so I brought it."
  • Huo Jingran quickly took the test report from her hand, his eyes filled with eagerness.
  • "Husband, is this some confidential document?" Ding Ningqiu stared at him with a puzzled look, leaning closer to take a look.
  • After seeing the DNA test report, she covered her mouth with both hands, her face full of astonishment. "Husband, do you... do you have another woman?"
  • Seeing that Xiaoting and himself had no blood relationship, Huo Jingran crumpled the test report into a ball and said coldly to Ding Ningqiu, "No. I just saw a little boy who looked a lot like me yesterday, and I thought that night six years ago, the Huo family had a child."
  • So that's how it is.
  • Ding Ningqiu finally breathed a sigh of relief. She walked up behind Huo Jingran and hugged him, pressing her face against his back. "Husband, if you like children, we can have them. How many do you want? We can have as many as you want."
  • Huo Jingran didn't answer. He pushed Ding Ningqiu's hand away and asked the butler to prepare the car, quickly leaving the villa.
  • This made Ding Ningqiu angry. She was not bad-looking, so why couldn't she arouse Huo Jingran's interest?
  • Although she clearly felt that Huo Jingran had no interest in her, it didn't stop Ding Ningqiu from continuing to be the young madam of the Huo family. In the face of vanity and materialism, she could ignore everything.
  • After the butler came into the living room from outside, Ding Ningqiu sat on the sofa, eating fruit from a plate and coldly watching him. "Didn't my husband tell you to kill that woman? How did things go?"
