Chapter 3 : Genius Little Bun

  • Lost in her thoughts, Ding Ningqiu realized that the real Mrs. Huo was not herself, but her good friend, Leng Yue!
  • Looking at the rows of brand-name clothes and bags in front of her, Ding Ningqiu glanced at the necklace in her hand and thought to herself: From now on, I am Mrs. Huo, and no one can stop me!
  • After lying on the bed and resting for a while with her eyes closed, Ding Ningqiu suddenly opened her eyes. There was a little devil in her mind constantly shouting: Ding Ningqiu, what are you hesitating about? Only when Leng Yue and those two children are dead can the secret of you being the fake Mrs. Huo remain unknown. If Leng Yue and those two children live for another day, you will be exposed!
  • Ding Ningqiu's gaze froze, and her eyes suddenly turned cold.
  • The headquarters of the Huo Group was suddenly attacked by hackers in the morning. The computers in the entire building were invaded, and the screen displayed: Huo Jingran, the big villain, the big demon!
  • The hackers' techniques were so sophisticated that they gave headaches to the network experts in the security department. Fortunately, Huo Jingran stepped in and cleared the virus within a few minutes.
  • An hour later, the secretary knocked on the door and entered. Looking at Huo Jingran's gloomy face, she whispered, "Mr. Huo, we have traced the hacker's IP address and the person has been caught."
  • "Beat him half to death before bringing him to me," Huo Jingran said coldly.
  • The secretary frowned, "Mr. Huo, isn't that a bit too much?"
  • Huo Jingran gave the secretary a death stare and his tone became even colder, "Are you defying me?"
  • The secretary quickly shook her head and explained, "Mr. Huo, how could I dare to defy your orders? It's just that if we beat a five-year-old child half to death, it will have a very negative impact on our group if this matter gets out."
  • "What did you say? A five-year-old child?" Huo Jingran, who had always been calm, was also stunned by the secretary's words.
  • The secretary nodded and said, "Yes, it is indeed a five-year-old child. Quite cute, wearing a pair of glasses, short hair, looks a lot like Conan."
  • Huo Jingran furrowed his brows. He knew the secretary wouldn't dare to deceive him, but the fact that a five-year-old child could break through the company's network defenses, leaving the network security experts helpless, was truly unbelievable.
  • "Bring him in," Huo Jingran said, his tone slowing down.
  • Shortly after, the little boy mentioned by the secretary stood in front of Huo Jingran. At first glance, Huo Jingran almost jumped out of his chair.
  • Isn't this himself when he was a child?
  • That small and straight nose, slightly chubby face, big eyes, even the cold gaze resembled him!
  • One second later, Huo Jingran suppressed the thoughts surging in his heart and looked at the little boy, asking, "What's your name?"
  • The little boy remained silent, stubbornly looking to the side.
  • This was the first time someone had heard him speak, but he ignored it. Huo Jingran was momentarily stunned.
  • He took another look at the little boy and became even more interested.
  • The secretary on the side felt that something was not quite right with the atmosphere, so she smiled and squatted down, saying to the little boy, "Little friend, our boss is asking for your name. You should answer, it's impolite not to."
  • "Geniuses don't bother with villains," the little boy said coldly.
  • Instead of getting angry at such audacious words, Huo Jingran couldn't help but feel like laughing.
  • To call oneself a genius at such a young age, his audacity knew no bounds.
  • Hearing the little boy insult the big boss as a villain right in front of Huo Jingran, the female secretary was scared and broke out in a cold sweat. However, when she saw that Huo Jingran didn't show any anger, but rather looked at the little boy with interest, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
  • "Since you claim to be a genius, let's have a competition. If you win, I'll admit that you're a genius. How about that?" Huo Jingran looked at Xiaoting.
  • Xiaoting's eyes showed no signs of fear. He pushed his glasses up his nose with his small hand and said with a sharp gaze, "Just don't cry if you lose."
  • It had been a long time since Huo Jingran had seen someone so arrogant, especially from a five-year-old child. He was genuinely interested.
  • This child was even more arrogant and self-assured than he was when he was a child.
  • There were several computers in the spacious office. The female secretary led Xiaoting to one of them.
  • "Kid, listen carefully. The rules are simple. I'll be in charge of defense. If you can break through the Huo Group's central database and obtain the administrator's password, then you win," Huo Jingran said, staring at Xiaoting.
  • Xiaoting didn't reply. He turned his head and spoke in a milky voice to the female secretary beside him, "Pretty sister, can you please get me a glass of warm water?"
  • The female secretary thought Xiaoting was thirsty, so after getting Huo Jingran's permission, she quickly brought a glass of water.
  • However, to her surprise, Xiaoting had no intention of drinking it. Instead, he placed it on the table.
  • Curious, the female secretary followed up with a question, "What is the water for then?"
  • "Warm water gets the password," Xiaoting explained confidently.
  • This statement almost made Huo Jingran burst out laughing. Just as Guan Yu used warm wine to execute Hua Teng, now Xiaoting was using warm water to get the password. This couldn't be described as anything other than audacious.
  • The female secretary couldn't help but suppress her laughter, but with the big boss present, she didn't dare to laugh out loud. She quickly covered her mouth and forced herself to hold back her amusement.
  • "Let's begin," Xiaoting said, and his not-so-long fingers danced on the keyboard. His sharp gaze remained fixed on the computer screen from start to finish.
  • However, after only two minutes, Xiaoting's confidence and composure on his face were replaced by seriousness and astonishment. Five minutes later, the computer screen in front of him suddenly went black, and five red words appeared: "You lost, kid."
  • The computer in front of Xiaoting was completely under Huo Jingran's control. The keyboard and mouse were unresponsive. In this game, he had lost.
  • "Although you won, it only proves that you are also a genius, but it doesn't prove that I'm not a genius," Xiaoting looked up at Huo Jingran, his gaze unwavering.
  • In Huo Jingran's eyes, a child who could break through the Huo Group's firewall and network defenses in such a short time was indeed a genius.
  • But he didn't say what he thought in his heart because Xiaoting's audacity was even thicker than he had imagined. There was no need for him to call himself a genius anymore.
  • "Now that you admit you lost, there should be some reward, right, kid?" Huo Jingran placed his hands flat on the table and looked at Xiaoting.
  • "Since you won against me, I'll call you Big Brother from now on, and you'll have a genius little brother for free. You've made a profit," Xiaoting said confidently.
  • Huo Jingran looked at Xiaoting. He really wanted to know how Xiaoting could say such a narcissistic statement with a serious face. This could be said to be the most narcissistic child he had ever seen.
