Chapter 8

• Lucy's POV
• I grinned, folding my arms across my chest as I heard Alpha Eric say this.
• “Alpha, I wasn't talking about you?” Diane cried.
• “As long as you talk about the one I love, it's me you're talking about?”
• “Love?” I whispered to myself, doubting this.
• "Now disperse!"
• I glared at him, he had a serious look on his face. I realized he was also talking to me. I turned and went back to the apartment.
• "Don't worry, I'll return to my wing myself," Leo said to Diane. She was following behind me, her eyes were evil. After a while, when u turned, Eric was still standing over there by the corridor gazing at us. He waited for us to go away before he walked.
• At noon after lunch, I had my best friend, Caroline, come to pick me up for school. Since I had lectures by 12:30 PM, I had to eat my lunch by 11:30 AM, rather than the usual 1:00 PM. I wasn't one of those who enjoyed taking food to school, it made me look like I was in basic school.
• "Hey baby, I arrived on time today to pick you up. Let's go!"
• Caroline walked forward and grabbed me on the wrist. She was a social science student with me at the Phoenix Academy. It's the most prestigious werewolf institute in our pack.
• When we arrived at school, Leo and Diane were on the same level as me, while Leo studied civil engineering, Diane and I studied Social Health and Psychology. The three main courses that brought us together were Psychology, Defense Arts, and the Use of English. These were the three compulsory courses all the students had to offer.
• It wouldn't be a cause to talk about if it were only these but the social class was every day in the evening, so we came together.
• Before I realized it, it was time for our practical class.
• I walked into the ultra-modern sized indoor auditorium which had a very large sitting capacity. This is where we gathered each time we had significant social experiment classes and conferences.
• The professor gestured for us all to gather. From his face, which was quite unusual, serious and composed, there was some great news he had to announce. We gathered around in the midst looking up to him at the center of the podium where he stood.
• "Listen everyone, I have very important news for you. Quite sorry it's coming in urgent but the President of our Academy, the new Alpha is back from his military training abroad. So we are going to welcome him with a round of applause."
• My jaw dropped hearing this, my suspicions of Eric being the owner of my Academy came to reality. My eyes were focused on the stage waiting to see him come out before I could really ascertain that it's him and not someone else with a similar fate returning from overseas.
• “The father of your kids!” Caroline whispered into my ears, I grinned. I wasn't expecting this at all, realizing the envy, attention and distractions that would be coming my way once it's discovered he has kids with me and he's my Academy President. I wasn't ready to become a celebrity.
• I pretended to be happy but right inside of me, a lot of thoughts were going through my mind which took my mind away from the present. I was merely present and couldn't focus on what was going on but then Alpha Eric stepped out walking majestically. Every thought in my mind seized, as if they were commanded by his dominating aura.
• He wore a black suit, with black pair of trousers and matching shoes. Rather than white shirt, he used black making his fair skin point out so obvious. He was like the only star shining in the dark night sky. All eyes were on him, especially the girls and I felt slightly jealous seeing them look at the father of my kids like that.
• “I thought you wanted revenge?” My wolf taunted me but I chose to ignore it. It's true I want revenge but the truth was, it didn't stop the sensations rippling through me whenever I set eyes on him as sexy and gorgeous like this.
• “Of course I can't cheat nature!” I found a perfect response for my wolf, silencing it.
• "Oh gosh!"
• "Gosh!"
• "Oh my God! He's so handsome!" I began to hear the girls here say.
• I could hear some whisperings from the girls, they were each gesturing to one another.
• "Shhhh! Silence!!" The head professor commanded.
• "This is Alpha Eric," he began. By now Eric was standing right in front of me towering over me from the podium. I stood at the first row, I wished I knew he was the one coming, I would have fixed myself in the middle of these students. With his stern yet seductive eyes gazing at me, I was left with no choice but to pray for the ground to open and swallow me up.
• The way he grinned and looked at me first of all before matching his eyes with other students was intimidating. He was too sexy for me, I was a novice when it came to matters like this, I only dated Leo after him and Leo wasn't a spoilt guy to show me to most seduction hacks I didn't know. So far, Leo had been the understanding partner, he never pressured me to be the typical classic girl but myself. Meeting with these hot expressions from an advanced guy like this, I turned foolish, not knowing how to react.
• There were a lot of people here, I needed to compose myself. It was far better at home, it was only Diane who could expose us. Here once they observe something is going on between the two of us, the news would spread like wildfire and for sure the paparazzis were looking for such a perfect opportunity to boost their blogs and followers.
• I felt gas in my stomach, I thought I was doing the best standing in front but now I wished I stood at the back.
