  • The pack house was buzzing before I even stepped inside. Music pulsed through the walls, laughter spilled out into the night air, and the scent of alcohol clung heavy in the breeze. I paused at the bottom of the steps, tugging the sleeves of my sweater over my hands as I glanced back once, almost expecting to see Alpha Elias’s tall shadow trailing behind me.
