Chapter 10 A Ghost

• Marissa lay sprawled on a bed so ridiculously plush it looked like it was stuffed with clouds and dreams. The room was a gaudy display of luxury. The wallpaper was so fancy it could be a sponsor for a high-end fashion brand, and the moonlight streaming through the curtains.
• Just days ago, she was in an apartment so cramped and noisy it could have been the soundtrack for a non-stop action movie. And before that, she was stuck in a basement that made "Escape Room" seem like a spa day.
• Now, she found herself in this over-the-top extravagance that could make a Las Vegas casino look like a thrift store.
