• That day in the office started with a lump in my throat. I was nervous and couldn't get the conversation with Miranda from the previous night out of my head. The idea that she might be interested in Bobby was still haunting my mind.
• I knew I had complicated feelings about him. Bobby had become more than just a marketing assistant I had hired; he was someone special, someone with whom I felt a connection that went beyond the professional. However, I couldn't allow this to affect our working relationship. After all, I was his boss.
