Chapter 34

• "Sorry, give me a minute," I say to James and I run out of Last Words after Zac. "Zac, stop!" I shout out to him, but he was a good distance ahead.
• "Isaac!" I shout again and he stops at the end of the street and turns to face me, and I catch my breath after practically running after him. I've never been athletic, so doing this short sprint made my heart race.
• "What's up? What are you doing?" I ask when I near him. I wrap my arms across my chest to keep out the cold.
