Chapter 35 — Don't Rush

• Matteo was on the first floor in the tomography examination room. Mira followed using the visitor’s elevator. Her feet felt heavy, as if she was dragging them. There was no one else in the waiting room, just her. “Everyone is healthy, except my husband,” she whispered.
• Who knows how long she sat there. It had been an hour, and her husband still hadn’t finished the examination. Mira rubbed her aching forehead. This nightmare had become a reality.
