Chapter 29 — Don't Worry, Mrs Mira
- "Hi, darling, the doctor says you’ll wake up soon. I miss you so much, don’t you miss me too?" Mira asked Dallas, who still had his eyes closed. On that cold night, Mira spent her time talking with Matteo, discussing their future.
- Mira fell asleep next to her husband, still holding his limp hand. If it weren’t for the nurse coming in, Mira wouldn’t have woken up. “Good morning, Mrs. Mira,” greeted the nurse. Mira responded, her eyes shifting to the wall clock.
- “It’s six in the morning now, which means I’ve slept for four hours. But it feels like only five minutes,” she said. The nurse who had examined Matteo earlier mentioned that her husband might be moved to a regular room today.
