• “What are you talking about?” Mira scolded, annoyed with Dallas’s behavior. “Can you help me? You said you wanted me to cook quickly, but when I ask for help, you—”
• Mira couldn’t finish her rant because Dallas surged forward toward her. The distance between them was now very close, and his strong hands gripped her arms, directing them to his neck. Of course, Mira resisted, but she was no match for his strength.
