I saw the pan in Axel's eyes as he came downstairs after trying to get Ashley to talk to him. I knew she would pay him no attention. I had tried to talk her into listening to him.
I knew that what Axel did was unacceptable. But amid everything, I was aware that Axel's feelings towards Ashley had changed. Earlier on, he hated her and just wanted to kill her. But that was all in the past. Axel had changed. He was crazy about her now. He got jealous of matters concerning her. He got worried when things were not going well for her.
