• I got back from cheer training under a heavy downpour. I alighted from the taxi and rushed to the gate. I turned down the umbrella that one of the guards offered me at the entrance. I just wanted to rush to my room and change into comfortable clothes.
• The distance from the gate to the house seemed to have increased with the rain soaking my top. As soon as I got to the front porch, I paused and took a deep breath. Maybe I should have taken the umbrella. I got to my room and headed straight into the bathroom. I washed my hair and showered.
