• Helen was lucky that she had simply tied the kids to the chairs and hadn't truly hurt them in a cruel way. Stefan’s arm had been wrapped, and he held on to Conan the whole time.
• "Hey, where's Leo?" Conan peered behind Mona and was surprised not to see Leo. It might not have been possible to fix things so quickly for today's festivities without Leo’s support.
• Mona shook her head. She remembered the words she had said to Helen in a hurry, and her eyes grew heavy. She had thought of several ways that Leo could find out who the kids really were, but she had never thought of this one.
