• The next afternoon, Grandpa put on a disguise and went to the kindergarten gate. Luke and Rue had no idea that someone was monitoring them.
• They ran to Williams, who was waiting for them. Rue asked him in a light voice, "uncle Will, where is my mom?"
• Mona finally told Williams who Luke and Rue were. She didn't mention their dad and told him to keep it a secret. Williams promptly accepted the news after the initial shock and promised to keep it a secret.
