Chapter 15

• Kino fetched me the next morning because we were scheduled to meet with the President of the Beach Hotels. He said that the owner wanted to personally take us to breakfast this morning. He also reiterated that the son will be with us so we need to hurry up to not keep them waiting.
• I wore a floral dress, a white blazer and nude pumps. I hated wearing the pumps, though. But nothing would suit the dress more than this. I curled the ends of my hair as placed a barrette on the side for accentuation. I put on light make up and a softer shade of a red lipstick.
• I was about to grab my bag and my files when my eyes accidentally glanced at the gray jacket on the rest of the couch. I bit my lip and remembered the words he said to me. My apology wasn’t enough for him. He’s going to need more and I am afraid I couldn’t reach his standards.
