Chapter 45 Some Kind Of News

• “How is she, doctor?”
• I heard whispers around me as I struggled to open my eyes. It was like something heavy was obstructing my view. My throat aches from thirst and my back hurts like I’ve been run over by a truck. I wanted to stand up and move around but my limbs felt so weak. This doesn't look like my body.
• “She’s going to be better. The anaesthesia should be wearing now, she should be up in an hour or so” Another voice was saying. I opened my mouth to ask where I was but no words could come out. I tried to move my head to the right as soon as I felt a hand grasp my weak hands but my head felt so heavy. What was wrong with me? Was I dead? Is this how it felt like?
