Chapter 8

• After a few moments of convincing the ladies finally agreed to the lift, but obviously Samantha wasn't about to get in the car without a warning of her own.
• "Don't you think you guys can do anything to us just because we are in your car? "
• After finishing her sentence, she stepped forward and opened the car door to enter. All three girls sat in the back seat of the car.
• Hearing this Chad's lips twitched but didn't bother to say a word.
• "Although this girl looks so harmless and weak, her tongue is as sharp as a sword! "
• He thought to himself as he watched settle in at the back. Once they were seated, he asked for the address, and after receiving it, he drove straight to their student residence.
• The following day, the girls were woken up by their pounding heads and regretted their decision to go to the club the previous night.
• "mhmm"
• Moaned Samantha in pain as she got out of bed heading to the bathroom.
• "Sam I so hate you right now. "
• Said Oyisa with a slight pout, she low-key blamed Samantha for the miserable state she was in.
• "Hey what did I do?"
• "Did we really have to drink so much, look at us now. I want to sleep some more! "
• "will the assignment write itself if you go back to sleep? "
• That question was enough for everyone to shut their mouths and get out of bed.
• After freshing up Samantha went on to make breakfast while the other two also take a shower.
• She scrambled a few eggs and fried some bacon, she did not forget to make her signature chili relish on the side. When she was done cooking, both Zinhle and Oyisa had also finished getting ready.
• "mhmmm that smells so good!"
• Zinhle cried out as the food aroma filled the whole dome room and her stomach also rumbled for everyone to hear how hungry she was.
• "Ow yes, Uncle and Auntie better find you a husband soon otherwise I will keep you for myself, hehe he."
• At this this point their mouths had started watering and Oyisa was about to take piece of bacon to munch on when her hand was ruthlessly hit by her Friend Sam.
• "How about you make coffee for all of us first and stop this nonsense you are talking about. How can they find me a husband when I am this young, let me make my first few millions first before I can even consider getting married. "
• "Hehehe look at what you are saying now, but weren't you the one busy with Mr someone last night?"
• When Oyisa said this, the room was filled with uncontrolled laughter as Zinhle too remembered too well how the two started dating.
• "I think I remember Aiden saying he was now your boyfriend starting from last night."
• Hearing this Samantha sighed in defeat.
• "Not you too, Zinhle. How can a man like Aiden become my boyfriend, the dude was just fooling around."
• "What do you mean, a man like Aiden?"
• Zinhle probed.
• "Well we are from two different worlds, he's better of with that mean girl of his."
• "That doesn't mean anything, what's important is this."
• She said while pointing at the area where her heart is located.
• The topic made Samantha somewhat uncomfortable so she decided to change the the subject.
• "Hey enough of that for the day, let's eat up before the food gets cold."
• They quickly ate their breakfast and Oyisa cleaned up while the other two packed their bag. Once all was set, they made their way to the library, they had booked a discussion room where they would be doing their assignments and could openly discuss the tasks without disturbing other students.
• They spent the whole day buried in their school work as they had a lot to do. After spending so much time in the library they still had one ledger that did not balance and they couldn't find a reason why. It was getting dark outside and they were exhausted and very hungry, so yhey decided to take a break and get something to eat.
• After packing their belongings they walked out of the library, when Oyisa asked.
• "Hey Sam, what are we having for dinner? I'm famished."
• Both Samantha and Zinhle were surprised to hear Oyisa's question. They were all very tired and hungry why would she ask her that or maybe she wanted to know the restaurant they were going to?
• "You can eat whatever you want to eat dear Oyi."
• "you mean you will cook whatever I want to eat?"
• Hearing this both Samantha and Zinhle laughed.
• "Hey what are you guys laughing for?"
• "We are all so tired, where do you think Sam will get the energy you cook from?"
• " Sigh, she's such a good cook but she's leaving tomorrow. Fine then let me treat you guys to a meal."
• "Don't worry, if you like my cooking so much, you guys can come over to my house and we will have a feast whenever you are around."
• "yeyeyeh, we'll see about that."
• "come to think about it, we've never really been to your house."
• They soon arrived at a nearby restaurant and ordered a few dishes before sitting down at table near the glass windows, watching the cars passing. They engaged in a light conversation, until their order number was called. Oyisa stood up and went to the front and collected their food.
• She place the tray of food on the table and then sat down.
• "Help yourselves."
• She did not have to remind them twice as they had already buried their head in the food, stuffing their mouths with what could fit in.
• "wooo slow down ladies, otherwise I'll think that you haven't eaten for a while."
• Hearing the mocking voice, they all simultaneously whipped their heads up, with their mouths full to the brim. Seeing who it was, they quickly chewed up and swallowed.
• "What are you doing here? Aaah sorry Mr Khoza, what I mean is how can we help you? "
• Samantha was the first to empty her mouth so spoke first but after realizing how rude she was, she changed her word.
• "Well didn't we agree last night that I am now your boyfriend? So of course when I saw you through the glass just now, I decided to come in."
• Hearing this both Zinhle and Oyisa turned to look at Samantha, mischief written all over their faces. It was as if they had known all along that Aiden would come.
• Samantha's face turned red with embarrassment as she listened to the Man, wasn't he aloof and unapproachable last night so why was he behaving like this now?
• Seeing how uncomfortable she was looking Aiden decided to take her away for a bit.
• "Come with me."
• He grabbed her hand and pulled her away.
• " Hey, can't you see I'm still eating."
• "well you won't die if you don't eat for a few more minutes."
• He responded nonchalantly as he shrugged his shoulders and continued walking. Outside there parked a black tinted SUV, which he opened the back passenger door and stepped aside for her to enter the. To his surprise the girl didn't protest, she obediently entered the car, she even scooted to the other side saving him time as he no longer needed to go around the car to his seat. He too entered the car and closed the door shut.
• The car began moving, driving away from the restaurant.
• "Hey where are you taking me? My friends are still there remember, my bag as well. "
• She questioned in frustration, didn't the man want to talk so what was he doing now.
• "oh I'm sure you bag will be safe with your friends."
• "where are you taking me."
• "Dinner."
• "But I was already eating couldn't you join us."
• "I don't eat at such places, and besides we are a couple now shouldn't couples eat together?"
• "Why do you keep on saying that? We don't even know each other that well."
• "yeah but we know enough about each other so.."
• He did not finish the rest of the sentence allowing her mind to go wild with assumptions.
• "Is that what you tell all your girlfriends?"
• "Girlfriends? What girlfriends? As far as I know I've never had any."
• He said it casually prompting Samantha to not believe him.
• "yeah right!"
• At that moment the car arrived at five star restaurant, Aiden had already booked a private dinning room, so as soon as they entered the room, the host greeted them and led them to their dinning room.
• Aiden was rarely seen with females around him, and a few that he was seen with looked sophisticated but one could tell that they were just doing business. This woman however was different.
• She was wearing washed out jeans and a t-shirt, although her beauty was intoxicating, she didn't look like she was from the upper class of the society. If Aiden was not around, she would not have been allowed entry to the restaurant as she did not meet the dress code.
• The gave her a quick look but still could not bring himself to acknowledge her so he turned to Aiden and here is the menu sir please look at it and a server will come back and take your order.
