Chapter 6

  • They all turned to look in the direction where the voice came from, the handsome man who had gotten the security guard to let them in was standing there not far from them with an angry look.
  • Samantha Froze as soon as the man's face was revealed. 'It is him! The man from the taxi rank.' She thought to herself, she definitely would never forget that face. It had been popping up in her mind frequently these days. Realizing that she was getting lost in her thoughts and her friends seemed to be afraid of this guy, the girl shook her head and spoke up trying to be as polite as possible.
  • "Excuse me, sir, thank you for letting us skip the line but don't you think we have the right to leave whenever we want to leave?"
  • Despite the pleading look in her eyes, Aiden was not having any of it, as he was determined to have a word with this woman. He shook his head and said
  • " That only applies to people who enter the club fairly, not through connections."
  • Hearing his words Samantha looked straight into eyes thinking there was more to this than she thought, she felt that the man was somewhat hitting on her, but when her eyes met his, all she could see was the disdain in his eyes. She couldn't understand why the man was stopping them from leaving when it was clear that he disliked them.
  • " Sir I don't even know you, so why would you even say we got in through connections."
  • "Aiden Khoza, now you know me!"
  • Samantha rolled her eyes, irritation and annoyance clearly written all over her face.
  • 'Not this name again, does every man in this city share this name?'
  • Seeing her reaction, Aiden had a faint smile that was barely noticeable. He felt that the woman looked cute when she was annoyed and wondered how she would act if he pushed her buttons a little.
  • " We really chose a bad day to go out!"
  • Oyisa complained wishing that they had never left the house to begin with, Samantha who had heard his name was even more frustrated.
  • " Arg not this name again!"
  • She exclaimed not knowing that she had spoken out loud. She then continued to ask.
  • " So what does Mr Khoza want us to do?"
  • "Come join us."
  • His eyes traveled to an empty VIP booth at the corner of the club, not many people were around that area and the few that occupied their booths were not as rowdy as the rest of the people in the clubs. Samantha looked at her friends and nodded in affirmation then looked at Aiden and went on to say.
  • " Fine but you are not allowed to make any more demands from us."
  • She felt that joining them wasn't much to ask for, at least this way they would be able to pay back the favor. Seeing that she had agreed, the man turned around and walked to their booth. He poured himself a drink immediately after sitting down. The waiters here already knew his drink preference so they had prepared everything as soon as they saw him walking in to the club. Seeing that Aiden had female acquaintances, the waiter knew that the bottle wasn't suitable for women as it had a strong bitter taste. He quickly walked up to their table to take their order.
  • " Sir, I came to check if the ladies will need something different from the whiskey, something sweeter maybe?"
  • "Ask them."
  • Aiden did not even spare him a glance as he responded before taking a sip from his glass. As he drank his whiskey, he couldn't help but hear the girls whispering to themselves.
  • " We do not want to get drunk around these people."
  • "Yeah, I think it's better if we just drink alcohol free cocktails."
  • " Na that won't do, let's just drink water that way we can even sober up from the drinks we've already had."
  • With that the girls agreed on the beverage of choice and Oyisa placed the order.
  • "We will have bottled water, thank you."
  • Just as the waiter was taking down their beverage order, Aiden's cold and deep voice rang out causing his hand to freeze on the spot.
  • "Is this a club or a church? you can not come here and order water, next thing you will order what? tea? you shouldn't have came here if you thought you'd be getting a granny drink! bring them three bottles of champeign and a shot each!"
  • The whole area seemed to be freezing cold, so much so that even the waiter felt sorry for these girls. Judging from his voice, one could clearly tell that he was not fooling around but was serious! he was by no means celebrating anything but seemed to be punishing them. Once their server had left the booth, Samantha's eyes also turned cold, she had been polite to this man all this time but it seemed like he was just a jerk and did not deserve her politeness at all!
  • "Mr Khoza don't you think that you taking it too far by doing this? it is true that we only got to enter the club because of you but that doesn't mean that you can force alcohol down our throat!"
  • Aiden smiled but the smile did not reach his eyes and said
  • " You have misunderstood me miss Oliphant, it was I who invited you in and I have the responsibility to ensure that you have fun and that is what I am doing."
  • "Hah! such a hypocrite, you deserve to be with that Lelo woman!"
  • She spoke through clenched teeth, it was evident that he had made her angry.
  • " Sammy!"
  • "Sam!"
  • Both her friends exclaimed at the same time trying to warn her to watch her mouth, They both were aware of the man's identity and they both couldn't afford to offend him. There was only one Adrian khoza in Doreinburg and judging by how everyone here treated him, it was evident that the man was none other than thee Adrian Khoza, The most ruthless and cunning man in the Khoza clan, fit enough to run the whole taxi industry.
  • " What? I am telling the truth, I am not the one who's going around and bullying people for stealing men they know nothing about, or forcing people to drink alcohol when they don't want to."
  • The woman was not bothered at all by their stares, she felt aggrieved and wanted to vent out all her frustrations and the man was just taking the fall.
  • Both Oyisa and Zintle were scared for their friend's life for being this rude to the man, so they quickly apologized on her behalf.
  • " Hehe, don't take it to heart Mr Khoza, Sam is not thinking straight."
  • "Yes Mr Khoza, our friend is not herself today. Eeh how about we take her home now."
  • Just as she was about to stand, the server walked in holding their drinks along with an ice bucket to keep them cool.
  • " Who is going to finish all of that if you are planning to leave now?"
  • Adrian spoke as he lazily pointed at the server who was now placing their drinks on the table, he then shifted his attention back to his assistant Chad who was briefing him about a project they were interested in working on.
  • " Arg forget it you guys, can't you see that you are pleading to a brick, come let's have fun!"
