- The sound of a curtain being drawn opened jolted Louis from his sleep. He opened his eyes slowly, squinting at the man walking towards him.
- His vision cleared and he watched Edward sit down on the bed beside him. Edward stretched his hand toward his face and gently brushed Louis’s hair away from his sleepy face. “I woke you up, didn't I?”
