Chapter 23 He Will Always Choose Edward

• It was late in the evening when Fabian woke up. He flattened his hands on the cold floor and observed his surroundings in confusion. The container of the drugs he had taken earlier still lay open on the floor beside him. He had no idea when he had slept off, but he knew Callum would be returning to the packhouse anytime soon. He gathered the pills that had been spilled on the floor in the container and put them back in the drawer. Then, he got up from the floor and straightened his white shirt and trousers.
• Due to how much he had sweated when he was in pain, his clothes were starting to smell bad. He removed them and went into the bathroom to shower. After bathing, he wore a round-neck white top and white shorts.
• Just as he was combing his shoulder-length hair, his eyes caught sight of the hands of the clock hanging on the left side of the bedroom. It was almost 10:00 pm and Callum still wasn't back. His stomach grumbled and he clenched it tightly. He had neither had lunch nor dinner. Thinking about what to have for dinner, his mind went to the young man Callum had brought with him.
