Chapter 25
- An hour had passed, and Zarina impatiently awaited the arrival of Hazel’s picnic bus. Perazzo’s sleek black car was parked just outside the school, and Vector stood at a suitable distance from her.
- Zarina couldn’t understand why this brooding person had to be with her. Not just here, but everywhere. A week ago, when Xavier gave her permission to go out and have fun, he conveniently left out the fact that she would have a 24/7 bodyguard to deal with. He also failed to mention the selective deafness of this zombie-like individual. No matter what she said or did, he either didn’t hear it or simply didn’t care.
- However, her first encounter with Vector was still vivid in her mind. She couldn’t forget how ruthlessly he shot that person, right in front of her, without a hint of hesitation or concern. Perhaps that was the reason. No matter how annoyed and anxious she felt, she kept her lips sealed. Vector’s lack of interest in anything she had to say further discouraged her from even trying.
