- There is a brief moment of silence, which is my signal to finish this up. I'm very uneasy. He will now be present at this significant occasion as my fiancé. He brings my hand to his lips and kisses my engagement ring, almost as if he can sense my reluctance. I can feel my body relaxing just from his touch.
