• I have a reputation in business as "Lex" because of my ruthlessness. I've had people compare me to Lex Luthor. I once overheard a group of interns calling me that, and instead of firing them, I relished their fear of me. Soon after, I told my family to stop calling me Alex since it was a poor representation of who I used to be.
• She no longer knows the Alex Edwards I once was. But this is not the time to correct her because her other remarks, which were a high school flirtation, still ring true.
• When Charlotte tries to push by me, I again grab her arm. She doesn't look back. She instead has her back to me and is perfectly still.
