Chapter 13

• My attention shifts back to Julian, who has a ring in his outstretched palm that is ready to be put on my finger. I look longingly into the eyes of a man who has treated me with nothing but love and kindness ever since we first met. When I need protection the most, he provides it, but he also respects my boundaries and gives me the opportunity to do what I want while frequently pushing me outside my usual comfort zones.
