• Lia's POV
• I slowly opened my eyes, blinking against the dim light filtering through the room. Panic began to set in as I realized I was chained, unable to move. I tugged at the restraints, but they were too strong. My muscles felt weak from exhaustion. I called out, "Alex?" But only silence answered. Fear twisted in my gut. Did they do something to Alex? Why isn’t she responding?
• Desperately, I tried to break free, yanking against the chains with all the strength I had left, but they held fast. Frustration built up until I screamed out in anger. The sound echoed in the stillness. Suddenly, the door creaked open, and Moses walked in, his expression unreadable.
