Chapter 3
- Emily..
- Ever since I met Drake when I was a lone wolf, I thought I had found happiness. Now I feel that this happiness is about to be taken away. Why do I have to suffer this way? Why did he hurt me for no reason?
- I sat there in the dark as I cried, yet no one was there to tell me sorry. If only I knew it would turn out this way, I couldn't have imagined what my fate would be now.
- I stared out through the little window and saw that it was already getting dark. I felt lost and like I'm on the brink of losing my mind.
- "Relax, Emily, everything will be alright," I tried to tell myself, but it felt like I was even lying to myself. I didn't think that everything was going to be alright.
- I could not understand why Lia acted the way she did. She knows full well that I went to her party last night, so why did she say I was going for a business? What business?
- I felt as if the ground under my feet was about to give way, wondering how I could handle all this drama and tell myself that everything was going to be alright.
- Then, I heard a sound, and I quickly stood up, staring at the door. Maybe it must be Drake. Maybe I can plead with him one more time and hope that he listens to me.
- After a while, the door opened, and when I looked, I saw Lia walk in with a smirk on her face as she stared at me.
- "Poor you, just look at where you've led yourself. You know, I kind of feel pity for you," she said.
- I stared at her, and with anger rising within me, I felt like hitting her. Just as I was about to move forward, the chain on my leg pulled me back, and I glared at her with anger.
- "Poor you, just look at how you willingly put yourself in this position to suffer once again. You don't deserve Drake, so I think it's best you suffer," she continued.
- Looking at her got me so confused. Why would she speak in this manner when I had done everything I could to be her friend and make her happy? Yet, in the end, she decided to mock me.
- “Why are you doing this? You know the truth. Why are you not saying anything?” I asked in frustration.
- She chuckled at my words, looked at me, and then spoke, "Yes, I know a lot, and I also see a lot as well, Emily."
- Seeing her smirk, it suddenly hit me. I couldn't believe that Lia was behind all that had happened to me.
- "You can't be the one, right?" I said, trembling in fear as she just kept on smiling.
- "You have always let your emotions being used against you. You always think that if you show kindness to someone, they will reciprocate in kind. Well, you are wrong, and I will make sure you leave this pack. All my life, I have wanted Drake, and I did everything to get closer to him until you came and ruined everything. You are such a fool, and you think I will just let it go like that? Listen to me, Emily, tonight will be the last time you will ever see this pack or this face."
- I was so confused about what she was saying. What did she mean that today would be the last day I would see this pack or this face?
- "What are you saying?" I asked, but all she did was turn around and walk away, leaving me with a silent response.
- I felt scared. I couldn't stop thinking about what she said. Was she trying to imply that after tonight, I would be no more? Was Drake trying to kill me or something?
- I sat on the floor, placing my hands over my head, feeling as if I was going crazy. Everything felt like it was turning upside down, and I felt like I was on the verge of losing my mind at any moment.
- The darker everything became, the more I felt like this was the worst decision of my life.
- "Relax, Emily, everything is going to be okay," I reassured myself, but I still felt scared deep inside of me.
- After a while, I composed myself and nodded, deciding to fall asleep and wait for whatever happens to happen.
- I felt a splash of water on my face and quickly stood up, turning to see that one of the guards was standing close to me.
- "Get up, the Alpha doesn't have time," he commanded.
- I was confused as I got up, my mind racing with thoughts of the danger I was in and where they were taking me, but I couldn't comprehend their intentions.
- I was led outside where a large crowd awaited, and I wondered what was happening. Everyone seemed to be shouting insults at me, calling me names like a witch, a traitor, and a disgrace to the pack.
- I was pushed to my knees in front of Drake, unsure of what to say or how to feel about the situation.
- "Tonight, I am here to bring your attention to the fact that this lady will no longer be your Luna; in fact, she is not even one of us," Drake declared.
- I looked at Drake when he said that, feeling confused about what he meant by those words.
- "She is nothing but a disappointment, a witch, and a wicked soul who lacks empathy for others' feelings. Today, I stand before you all to make it known that after tonight, Emily Lee, a formerly lone wolf, will depart and return to the life she had before I first met her. She is no longer my luna, and she is no longer a part of this pack."
- I was confused and couldn't comprehend what Drake was trying to convey.
- "Drake, what are you trying to do? You don't have to do this. I love you," I said in a desperate attempt to salvage the situation.
- He turned towards me when I uttered those words, and I could see the anger in his eyes.
- "Love? Did you just say love? You don't know what love is, Emily. I, Drake, Alpha of the Crimson Pack, stand here today to announce that I reject you, Emily Lee, as my mate and Luna."
- Upon hearing those words, I felt a wave of nausea sweep over me, and I was at a loss for words.
