• “I can't believe this...” Adam uttered under his breath, shaking his head. “So, you're saying all this time, all these years you've been with me were just a lie? You used me to kill my family and pack?”
• “Oh, your pack, the one deep in the mountain is already gone.” Keith barked a proud laugh. “We took care of it a week ago. They were easy prey without their leader and any help. We didn't really need to use our dogs to get rid of them. They were too few. There were no humans, either, so we didn't have to spare our efforts.”
