• Jared jumped and disappeared behind a wall, satisfied he had finally found a worthy opponent. The bullet had been so close. Still, in the end, he was going to be the one winning.
• His feet kept thumping on the ground just like the paws of a cat that was chasing its prey. They were quiet, sneaky, and so fast. He reached the other corner of the wall and saw that Amely was still searching for him. Smirking under his nose, he lifted his weapon and pulled the trigger. Amely gasped in shock—or was it pain—and a bright yellow color stained her uniform. Jared snickered in victory and lifted his chin in challenge, causing her to scowl.
