• When Jared got to his apartment and Parker met him in the hallway, he just dismissively waved his hand and entered his bedroom. He didn't want to talk. He sat on the bed and sighed, but something in him told him to check the window.
• Amely's black jeep was still there, and she was staring up at him, leaning on the car door. The lights of the car were turned off, but the windows and the street lights were enough to make it completely visible. Not to mention, it was new and shiny. Amely never forgot to take it to the car wash or the mechanic.
