Chapter 30

Things were going really good. And she wasn’t the type of person that would be sitting, waiting for the other shoe to drop. Well she didn’t see any shoe dropping. They had an understanding, they functioned like a well-oiled machine and she would not forget the dates. Everything he did was just so heartfelt and really thought out. It always warmed her heart with every gesture. Was she already falling?
Or had she fallen? That little feeling she had inside. Maybe she just needed time to realize how she felt. But when she told him what then? Would she have to start planning a wedding? That made a smile a little but she wasn’t ready for that type of commitment yet, or was she? She didn’t even know anymore. She wanted to talk to him and tell him how she was feeling. But she would not just make it easy for him. She wouldn’t just forget how he sprung that ‘proposal’ on her. She wanted a do over. That party that they threw wasn’t hers. It was his. In celebration of his. Now the party that she was going to throw was going to be just about the music. About her success. Just her.
A menu that she would choose. Music that she would choose. And guests that she would want there. And she’d get to celebrate with Nathan and everyone else. And this time they wouldn’t be a ring in her cake.
