Chapter 12 He Who Learns The Truth

  • Samuel froze in shock.
  • Abraham was confused, so he asked, “Old Mr. Brown, what nine needles?”
  • “Shut up!” Samuel scolded him in an instant, and Abraham shut his mouth instinctively.
  • Samuel couldn't be bothered by Abraham anymore. Instead, he widened his eyes and kept close attention to Osmond's actions.
  • After having Terence recline against the seat, Osmond started sanitizing the tools and started his acupuncture session.
  • Glinting icily and coming in different lengths, the needles in Osmond's hand emitted a dangerous aura.
  • Yet, these lethal-looking silver needles were a pleasing sight to be watched when they were in Osmond's hand.
  • Lifting and bringing his hand down repeatedly, Osmond inserted the needles into the acupoints with accuracy and precision.
  • “Stink Medial, Life Gate, Center Hall... Oh my god!” Samuel mumbled as he watched, his eyes widened with every needle inserted.
  • In fact, inserting needles into acupoints was something incredibly dangerous.
  • Aside from inserting the needles into the acupoints precisely, one also had to insert the needles into the correct depths.
  • Yet, Osmond pulled it off expressionlessly as if he was having a simple meal.
  • As he moved his hand repeatedly, he inserted all the needles into the acupoints while Dorian and Abraham watched in horror.
  • Unlike the two, Samuel, who knew a little about acupuncture, could tell Osmond was incredibly skillful.
  • In less than half a minute, Osmond had pulled off something that would cost someone else more than an hour.
  • Bang!
  • Osmond flicked his fingers.
  • Along with the flick, the needles started vibrating continuously as if his finger flick injected life into the needles.
  • “That's it! That's the Heavenly Nine Needles!”
  • Samuel could not help but let out a cry of shock at the scene.
  • Hearing that, Osmond turned around and said, “So you're not that dumb.”
  • “Yes, yes!”
  • Samuel's grizzle face blushed red in response, and he ultimately said nothing.
  • His eyes, however, remained locking firm onto Osmond's hand, trying his best to learn something.
  • Yet, Osmond's movements were extraordinarily quick that no one could catch a glimpse of what he was doing.
  • Five minutes later, Osmond waved his hand and removed the needles.
  • “How are you feeling now, Old Mr. Linnell?” Osmond asked as he slowly kept the box away.
  • “Phew!” Terence, who kept his eyes shut all the while, let out a long exhale.
  • It was at that moment did the rest realize that Terence was drenched in sweat.
  • The weather was not hot, but he was sweating profusely regardless, as though he had been drenched in the rain.
  • Aside from that, the sweat he expulsed did not look normal. His sweat was not transparent like it should be. Instead, there was some sort of stain.
  • “I'm feeling good. In fact, I'm feeling more than just good! It felt better than a sauna!”
  • Terrence wiped the sweat away. The tension burdening him was no more, and he felt that he got younger in an instant.
  • Dorian was delighted and thanked Osmond immediately. “Thank you, Mr. Lestrange.”
  • Osmond waved a hand and said nothing in response.
  • “Thank you, Mr. Lestrange, for what you had done for my old soul. If there's anything you need from the Linnell family, just name it. I suppose the Linnell family is still somewhat influential in Jadeborough.” Terence stood up on his feet and looked toward Osmond in a serious manner.
  • “Is there even a need for that, Grandpa? All he did was give you an acupuncture session. We still need some time to see if it's really effective or not.” Abraham frowned, and his tone was heavy with dissatisfaction.
  • He invited Samuel over to treat Terrence for the sole purpose of winning Terence's favor.
  • He never expected a disabled fool that Dorian picked up from somewhere was capable of stealing his limelight!
  • The result was something Abraham could never accept.
  • “There's no need for that. I can tell that my sickness is no more!” Terence laughed and waved a dismissive hand.
  • “No, Grandpa! Whether or not you've recovered is not your say, nor the cripple's. We shouldn't jump to conclusions too fast. Let's have Old Mr. Brown take your pulse first,” Abraham proposed and turned toward Samuel. “What do say you, Old Mr. Brown?”
  • However, Samuel couldn't be bothered. His vision was locked onto Osmond, and his face was full of excitement.
  • In the next second, Samuel ran up to Osmond and bowed at him respectfully.
  • “Mr. Lestrange, please forgive me for not knowing you're a divine physician. I want to apologize for my disrespectful remarks and behaviors.” Samuel bowed deeply with the tremendous respect he harbored toward Osmond.
  • Everyone was bewildered.
  • After all, Samuel was in his old age, and he was old enough to be Osmond's grandfather. Aside from that, he was also an expert in the medical field, someone regarded as a VIP amongst the many wealthy and respectable families.
  • Yet, he was bowing to a crippled man in his twenties.
  • This was simply unbelievable!
  • “Don't mention it.” Osmond waved a dismissive hand.
  • “Mr. Lestrange, with the utmost respect, may I have the honor to be your disciple?”
  • That had once again shocked Terence and the others without a doubt.
  • They couldn't fathom how Osmond could become Samuel's teacher at that young age. It was simply absurd.
  • However, Samuel did not think the same. He was dead serious about it, for he who learned the truth was the teacher and leader of the industry.
