• Removing the life jacket, I handed it over back to the man in charge of the jet ski. I muttered a thank you to him which he returned with a smile. I smiled back at him too. I ran my fingers through my hair and then my eyes landed on Jude. His gaze was fixed on me. I could see Francesca trying to indulge him in a conversation but he seemed not interested in whatever she was about to say.
