• The whole room went into a brief silence as soon as my mom spoke. I never knew they knew each other. Jude's eyes met with mine. I turned my face away from his. I don't want to remember what had transpired between us earlier.
• Who would have thought my mom and Jane's mom knew each other? jeez! So that explains the reason why they both never got along with each other. Jane's mom is Rita. Wow, that's ridiculous.
