Chapter 25
- Raindrops beat against Emerson’s car. His knuckles tighten on the steering wheel as he stared at the close door to William house.
- He had been sitting in his car in the pouring rain for about fifteen minutes now. Not wanting to go in and have this conversation William so desperately wanted and deserved, but also would rather be here than home.
- His lips still hurt from earlier, and he still couldn't believe he stormed out after that. He was in for a lot more when he got home, but for now Emerson took a much needed breath to settle his labour breathing before stepping out into the rain.
