EVANTHE’s POV.
As soon as Adir steps out of the room, I let out a little sigh. I didn’t mean for us to fight but then again, I need to be sure that I am safe with him. Being the adopted son of such a man can mean one thing, Adir is way more protected than I can even imagine. Why did he choose to become a bodyguard? Why did he come back to America after staying in Italy? These are the things I want to know so I can be sure of where our relationship is heading.
“You didn’t do the right thing” my wolf says after a while and my forehead creases into a light frown. Isn’t she supposed to be on my side?
