• “Where are you going, my wife?" Roy inquired, his concern for Dexie's health apparent. As he held her arms, he could feel her body's heat searing through the layers of clothing.
• "You're already divorced. I don't think Mr. Dawson needs to worry about where I'll take her," Roy replied as he lifted Dexie and left the hall.
• Luke Huxley was not about to let Roy take Dexie without a fight. He was already incensed when he saw Roy carrying Dexie in his arms as they exited the elevator. From his perspective, they appeared to be embracing intimately, like lovers.
